The Black Cherry Lamp is a modular assembly of lamps that pays homage to the cherry . The suspended lamp is made of blown glass bulb hanging on a metal tubing.
NIKA ZUPANC known for her ability to reinterpret everyday objects into user-friendly pieces, pays homage to the cherry in her latest series of lamps.
Nika graduated in 2000 from the Academy of fine arts Ljubljana. Her diploma work was awarded the prestigious academic Presernova award recognising the highest achievement of students in the field of art and industrial design.
Zupanc is working for companies like Moooi, Moroso and Nodus. She is a regular member of creative design projects throughout the world. Installations of her work at Superstudio Piu in 2009 and 2010 were seen as one of the biggest hits of Milan design week and attracted enormous interest from media and public. In 2011, Zupanc also started to cooperate with one of the most intriguing design galleryes in the world, Rossana Orlandi in Milan.
